Gorillaz tie in with Doctor Who (silly observations)

i heard a sound a robot made on an old 1970's doctor who episode that sounds EXACTLY like the intro to "man research (clapper)"

the sound i'm talking about first starts around the 6:45 mark.
the sound repeats several times throughout the entire episode. this link is just a short part of it.

not sure if gorillaz intentionally sampled this sound or what, but i just thought it was interesting

yet another doctor who/gorillaz thing. Phill Cornwell, the man who voiced Murdoc is in the Who episode "The Fires of Pompeii" as the merchant Donna Noble talks to. not using the same voice, obviously, but it's him!
