In the Cosplaying world I like to make a lot of crafts and props to go with the costumes or let people borrow them so that their outfit will be complete.
A Christmas related Cosplay present I made for my Friend Lindsay who likes to Cosplay as Draculaura from the doll and web series monster high. she carried around different umbrellas with certain outfits, this is the first one I painted for her.
The bat on the handle sculpted with Super Sculpy and then molded onto the handle after it was baked. along with the little balls on the tips of the Umbrella.
The top of the Umbrella, took off the plastic covering and molded on a skull, baked it, painted it and then popped it back on top.
The whole thing finished, with the pink belt painted around it and a heart shaped buckle.
For my mew group that has become five instead of eight, I made all the weapons the characters are supposed to have.
Mew Ichigo's (me) Strawberry bell, made from fleece, wire, stiff felt, plastic jewels and a wind chime bell.
Mew Berri's Ucha wand. made out of a wooden egg, wooden half egg pieces, stiff felt, red ribbon, plastic jewels, epoxy putty, and a dollar store water shooter in the shape of a pencil.
Mew Lettuce's Castanets. Dollar spot Castanets found at Target, repainted, jewels add and ribbon to finish them off.
Mew Ringo's Applesticks. Made out of wooden dowel rods, wooden wheels, wooden balls. epoxy putty, plastic jewels, and a bit of stiff felt.
Mew Pudding's rings. Two big and small fancy wooden Os, cut with a hacksaw, glued together. first smaller ring has a cat bell on it that doesn't ring. Bigger ring has jingles attached to make real noise. finished with some plastic jewels and epoxy.
Sailor chibi moon's pink sugar wand. made from a princess wand found at Goodwill. the details added on with epoxy and then repainted.
Made as a Christmas present for Frankie, it's three of her favorite characters from Homestuck.
Cosplay I did for Geek Media Expo of Ghoulia from the Monster High doll series and web series line. costume was self made.
so far at the moment this is all I have up right now, but because we're doing a group at MTAC in April we'll be working on our cosplays and it's my job to make some of the accessories for those you aren't making them themselves. so I'll post pictures of those.
I'd like any comments or criticism you have, because I know I'm not the best and criticism can be used to make a person's work better.
