Damon Albarn has revealed he "might" make another Gorillaz record.
Following his previous claims that another LP from the cartoon collective would be "unlikely", the Blur frontman now appears to have done a U-Turn, admitting that new material is in the pipeline.
Speaking to NME, Albarn stated: "I'm doing a musical, and then I might do another Gorillaz record, then I might do another solo record.
"I have so many songs... but I don't know if I'll use any of them."
Last month, the star revealed that he's writing a family-friendly "mainstream musical", explaining: "It's something I've always wanted to do because musicals are great when they're done well.
"(Originally it) was going to be a left-field, experimental opera. But it's lurched into a mainstream musical for families."

Damon Albarn: "I Could Put A Gorillaz Record Out Next Week"
Brit Pop legend also teases a future Blur reunion, saying they would be "mad" not to reunite again one day...

Damon Albarn has give hope to Gorillaz fans by revealing that new album from the animated group will "definitely happen" in the future.
During an interview with NME, the Blur frontman claimed: "I can definitely see another Gorillaz-esque record at some point, yeah.
"That will almost definitely happen. I could put a Gorillaz record out next week; I've got enough stuff I haven't finished."
He went on to address his flakey friendship with artist and Gorillza collaborator Jamie Hewlett, explaining that their well-publicised fall-out has helped their relationship.
Albarn said: "There are points in every relationship where they fall out with people that they're close to and then they reconcile, hopefully, and actually, you know the relationship's probably in a healthier place as a result of that."
In the same interview, the star went on to tease a possible Blur comeback, quashing rumours that they will never play together again after comments he made about a cancelled appearance at The Big Day Out festival in Australia, which was set to be the Brit Pop's band final gig.
Dismissing the rumours as "b*****ks", Damon admitted: "I said it's the last gig of a brilliant period we spent doing these gigs and we didn't want to sully it by going to something that was badly organised and where things weren't as they should have been."
When asked about the future of the Parklife group, the 46-year old frontman concluded: "Everything is good between us all. I'm sure we'll play again at some point.
"It'd be mad to go the rest of our life and never play any of those songs again."
Earlier this week, Damon also hit the headlines after revealing that it is a "distinct possibility" that he may make an album with former rival Noel Gallagher one day.
